Gluing BowlsGluing Bowls (concave forms) are used when bracing, to create a uniform arch in the top & back plates. They can be used with many different clamping styles, and are particularly useful with go-stick and vacuum clamp systems.Gluing Bowls come in two sizes: Rectangular (22" x 18.5") & Round (24" diameter), available with 12', 15', 20', 25', 28', 30', & custom radii. The 12', 15', & 20' radius bowls are common for backs, and the 25', 28', & 30' are common for tops. |
Instructions for use
1. Braces are first marked with the desired arch by tracing the contour of the bowl with a pencil. 2. Next they are carved until they fit seamlessly against the surface of the bowl. This job can be easily completed with the help of our Sanding Bowls. 3. Braces are then glued & clamped with the top or back plate in bowl to achieve a perfectly uniform arch.
