Guitar Binding Jig
Our Binding Jigs are designed to help you create perfect binding and purfling channels fast, and with as few obstacles as possible.
Each jig comes assembled, with a router bit, and ready to have your router mounted on it.
The core of our system is the set of twelve precision aluminum rollers of different diameters.
Every stationary roller centers on the router bit, and registers each cut off the sides of the guitar.
This design assures an even depth of cut on all sides of the router bit.
Since there is no need to change the router bit, you can increase or decrease your depth of cut in a few seconds.
Fine adjustments to the roller diameter can be made with the fiber-tape supplied.
The binding jig can be mounted to your bench with the screws supplied, with regular clamps, or it can be held in a vise.
This jig is a refined version of an original design by Jean Larrivee and Bruce West.
